Patient Participation Group
We have re-launched our PPG. Our last meeting was on Thursday 19th January 2017. We are still keen to find new members, so if you are interested in becoming involved please email us at email@example.com.
Saturday morning surgeries
Our Saturday morning surgery now rotate between our Wodeland Avenue, Stoughton Road and Oaks sites. Please ensure you are aware of which site to attend when booking.

Stop Smoking Clinic
Quit 51 are running a smoking cessation clinic at our Oaks site on Tuesday afternoons. Please contact us if you would like to book an appointment.

Named GP for all patients
All patients now have a named GP responsible for their care. Please ask for more information.
We have now received our full CQC inspection report following our inspection in February 2016. Our rating of ‘Needs Improvement’ is as we expected at the time . We were already in the middle of a planned improvement and restructuring programme.
Our CQC report identified some areas for improvement in the domains of ‘Safety’ and ‘Well Led’. We have introduced an action plan of improvement in these areas These are mainly related to developing polices and procedures . We want to learn and ensure we strive to deliver the best care we can to all our patients within the current NHS resources.
We are keen to reassure all our patients now and in the future that patient care and safety is not being significantly compromised on a day to day basis but we will continue to ensure we meet or even exceed statutory requirements for all our 4 surgeries at all times.
We are proud to achieve in a ‘Good’ Rating in the areas of:
- Are services effective?
- Are services responsive to people's needs?
- Are services caring?
We are pleased with the comments in the report:
- Patients said they were treated with compassion, dignity and respect and they were involved in their care and decisions about their treatment.
- Staff assessed patients’ needs and delivered care in line with current evidence based guidance. Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to deliver effective care and treatment
- Staff understood and fulfilled their responsibilities to raise concerns, and to report incidents and near misses
We are proud to be a large training practice striving to deliver high quality care to 24,000 patients across Guildford from four surgeries.
