SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Antenatal clinics are led by community midwives. Pregnant women are asked to book antenatal care at around the tenth week of pregnancy.
We offer child health appointments with GPs for 6 week mother and baby checks and nurse led baby immunisation clinics.
We have asthma nurses who are able to review your condition and ensure you are on the most appropriate treatment. Your doctor or surgery receptionist can give you further details.
There is a diabetes clinic at Wodeland Surgery, The Oaks and Stoughton Road Surgery. Usually patients with diabetes would be expected to attend a main annual review to see both the nurse and GP, plus a six-month review with the nurse. A blood test is needed prior to the appointment.
We have nurse led clinics for contraception/family planning and are able to fit coils and contraceptive implants at the practice.
Click here for information about different types of contraception.
Dr. Baker can carry out some minor surgical procedures at the practice but a routine appointment is needed initially to be assessed. If the concern is about a possible skin cancer then any GP can assess this to decide if a specialist referral is required. Please be aware that the NHS will only fund minor surgical procedures in certain circumstances; the removal of skin blemishes for cosmetic reasons is not possible on the NHS.
Flu and pneumococcal vaccinations are recommended for all patients over 65 and patients of any age with heart, lung, kidney or diabetic problems. Residents of nursing and residential homes are all advised to be vaccinated.
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, for example, for insurance and driving licence. Please telephone the Practice for an appointment and ask for details of our charges.
If you are a Carer, and provide a regular commitment to a relative, friend or neighbour who is unable to manage due to illness, disability or frailty, please let us know so we can add you to our register.
Carer Support in Surrey is an independent organisation that offers information and support. For more details contact them on:
We are currently unable to provide NHS health checks for patients aged 40 - 74. However, these are available at the Surrey Human Performance Institute at Surrey Sports Park and many pharmacies.
